Series consists of Dunn's files on historical iron works and foundries in the Maritimes, Quebec and Ontario from the Norsemen to the nineteenth century. There are numerous files on the iron works at Marmora, Ontario, including correspondence, transcripts and photocopies of documents, chapters of Dunn's draft history of Marmora; correspondence on Dunn's archaeology project at Marmora in 1980. Files on the nearby Blairton iron mine and on the raising of ore cars from the Trent River in 1981. The files on nineteenth century Canadian foundries are arranged by place name.
