Sub-series consists of material uring his life time, Scott arranged his working papers into subject files and kept them in his McGill office. Series I relates to his career up to 1958. It is arranged alphabetically by file title, and within the titles chronologically. The original order of the papers as they were found in Scott's office has been preserved as much as possible. The files contain correspondence, memoranda, reports, manuscripts, notes, clippings and pamphlets relating to Scott's career as university professor, poet and political activist. Included is correspondence both to and from F.R. Scott.
