Series consists of letters written to her family in Canada by Ruth Jenkins while with the Anglican Mission in China, 1920-1927, describing her daily life in China, excursions, acquaintanceship with other missionaries, involvement in missionary work, observations on Chinese customs and politics, and other aspects of her Chinese experiences. Also included are letters, 1927-1938, written by Ruth Jenkins while living in Japan with her missionary husband, H.G. Watts.
