Series consists of reports of a researcher's survey, made on behalf of Professor H.J. Lawford, of sources for British treaties, ca. 791-1960, in the catalogues and indexes of manuscripts and printed books at the British Museum (now the British Library); in List No. 52 to the records of the Foreign Office at the Public Record Office; and in the 18th Report of the Royal Commission on Historical Manuscripts, 1917. There are also lists of the selected treaty documents microfilmed by the British Library for Professor Lawford, which provide page counts of the items filmed and the filming charges for each. Note that the material listed for reel "A" is available on reel A-909 at the National Archives of Canada, and the material on reels "B," "C," and "D," is on reels A-910, A-911 and A-912, respectively. Material is from file 1.
