Series consists of material relating to the little magazine Moment, including an index of subscribers and contributors, as well as poems submitted, including poems by John Robert Colombo, Al Purdy, Joe Rosenblatt and Francis Sparshott; material relating to poetry in general, including circulars, poetry manuscripts by other authors, copies of literary journals; material relating to politics in general, including circulars, documents and statements from political organizations, printed material, and other material; material relating to a variety of general subjects, including abortion, alcoholism, religion, carpentry, drugs, ornithology and Prince Edward Island history.
Series also consists of poems by other poets such as Carlene Carson, Sylvia de Persis, John McRae, Timothy Shay and others 1931-1986; miscellaneous political subject files consisting of labour and communist magazines such as the "Canadian Tribune", "National Guardian", "The New Frontier" and others 1952-1974; there are also miscellaneous subject files dealing with abortion, censorship, family planning and others 1955-1985.
Series also consists of miscellaneous political subject files including a seven page transcript of a pamphlet entitled "The Curse of the Sad Aunties" intended to be published in the "Western Gate", a Marxist journal, about the "Foibles of the Left, New and Old, in Canada..."; there are also other political manuscripts entitled "I won't therefore I ain't gonna" [1970] and "Are the revs all counter-revs".
