Series consists of a clipping file which contains copies of the Red Cross Bulletin for 20 October and 24 December 1920. The Bulletin was a publication of the American Red Cross Commission to Western Russia and the Baltic States. This file also contains a copy of an article from the Honolulu Star-Bulletin, 21 July 1965, entitled "How Islander Saved Children". The article is about Riley Allen of Hawaii who worked for the American Red Cross in Siberia 1918-1920. Also included is a photocopy of the dust cover of a book by Floyd Miller entitled Wild Children of the Urals (New York, 1965). The book tells the story of the American Red Cross in Russia during the revolutionary period. Transcripts of Florence Farmer's notes on the book are attached.

Series also consists of a correspondence file which contains original letters from Florence Farmer to her mother in Ancaster, Ont. and some transcripts of those letters made by Mrs. W.F. Wallace of Hamilton, Ont. The letters describe Farmer's experience as a nurse in various parts of the world. Of special interest is a letter describing the Czar's visit to Kiev in 1915. Farmer writes that the Czar shook her hand while greeting a number of American Red Cross nurses.

Also included are 2 miscellaneous files. The first miscellaneous file contains biographical information about Florence Farmer and Mrs. Wallace's transcriptions of Farmer's notes on her experiences from 1914-1921. The second miscellaneous file contains various receipts for the period 1917-1918.
