The series contains documents illustrating the work of I.C. Rand as counsel for the Canadian National Railways in Moncton and in Montreal from 1920-1925, and as Attorney General for New Brunswick from 1925-1943. He was responsible for all matters appertaining to litigation and practice before the courts in Canada and United States on behalf of the company and the province of New Brunswick. The series includes conference papers, correspondence, statistics, statements and expenditures, notes, legal documents and working papers on specific sujects such as Inquiry into Western Lands and Allied Matters, Board of Railway Commissioners for Canada, Conference of Dominion and Provincial Governments and the New Brunswick Electric Power Commission.
