Series includes manuscripts for articles and lectures, related correspondence, clippings, brochures and pamphlets largely relating to his cruise North on the ship BOWDOIN in 1946 to Cape Breton and Labrador. Notes and correspondence, 1952 to 1962, of his cruise on the ship M.V. REGINA POLARIS from Montreal to various sites in Hudson Bay such as Eskimo Point in 1952. Ross Gilmore Marvin memorial in Elmira notes, memoranda and correspondence on the erection of the memorial in 1956 and a dedication speech noting Marvin's service to Robert Peary during which Marvin perished on Ellesmere Island in 1909. Copies of the magazine MOTOR BOATING 1946 to 1951 containing articles by stowell on Arctic voyages.
