Series contains memoranda, notes and reports mainly from the period 1922 to 1925, when Brodeur was posted to Naval Headquarters at Ottawa. They contain information regarding R.C.N. personnel, both policy and individuals, the organization of the R.C.N., R.C.N.R. and R.C.N.V.R. and the training of officers and men in the Navy. The correspondence between Brodeur, his father L.P. Brodeur and C.J. Desbarats, the Deputy Minister of Naval Services, addresses the problem of financial difficulties experienced by some R.C.N. officers serving in England with the R.N.
