MacDonald, Progressive Conservative Member of Parliament for Toronto-Greenwood and Opposition financial critic in the Commons, to the Canadian Club of Toronto. He is introduced by R.F. Chisholm. The title of the talk is "Foreign Affairs Have Moved in on Us". He says that Canadians who talk of the Third World War are "bores and unsuspecting enemy agents". After a recent unofficial tour of Europe he is in a position to analyse European attitudes.~Even though Korea seems well in hand, full-scale armaments must be maintained. He discusses the varying attitudes of Britain, France, Germany and Italy on the Council of Europe. He also discusses the Schumann Plan which might, he thinks, unite Western Europe. <15mn>Language:EnglishNotes: -
