The series consists of papers relating to Mhairi "Little Scottie" Fenton's trip to the Arctic with her aunt and uncle in 1937 aboard the R.M.S. NASCOPIE, with the Eastern Arctic Patrol of that year. Included are advertisements, news releases, maps, itineraries, memoranda, correspondence, etc., 1935-1938, together with material pertaining to her uncle, Dr. C. Stuart McEuen (d. 1956); three reprints of medical papers, etc., on the Inuit of the Eastern Arctic, 1936, by Dr. Israel Mordecai Rabinowitch (b. 1891), et al.; newspaper clippings, 1937; and correspondence, 1937-1939 (File 3).

The series also includes, Mhairi Fenton's diary of the trip, 4 August - 7 September 1937, with drafts of correspondence at the back of the notebook (File 4); extracts from the journal of the trip, 9 July - 30 September 1937, kept by Major D.L. McKeand, the Officer in Charge, which were sent to Mhairi Fenton by Graham Rowley of the Department of Indian and Northern Affairs, with a covering letter, 21 January 1974, addressed to Miss M. McEuen (File 5); and three photographs of fragments of documents found by R.C.M.P. Corporal W.C. Dodsworth and Mhairi Fenton at the new Hudson's Bay Company post established in 1937 at Ross on Somerset Island, and identified as the record left in a cairn there in 1859 by Admiral Sir Francis Leopold McClintock (1819-1907) (see also MG 24, H 27) (File 6).

Three maps, 1933, 1936 and 1937, were transferred to the Cartographic and Audio-Visual Archives Division in 1984, at the time of acquisition.
