Robertson interviews [Father Francis Bolger] a Roman Catholic priest, professor of history and native of P.E.I., on the religious history of the Island, prior to the ecumenical service about to take place at an outdoor theatre in Victoria Park, Charlottetown, P.E.I. Footage of the ecumenical service includes prayers; hymns led by a choir; a Salvation Army soloist; Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh, reading the lesson from the Bible; a speech by an unidentified religious figure; Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and the Duke mingling with the crowd; and the royal motorcade leaving.
