Series consists of correspondence, petitions, reports and other papers apparently from the files of Henry Fox, relating to the affairs of Virginia under Robert Dinwiddie, military strategy, the state of fortifications in British North America, and related matters during the French and Indian War, 1755-1756, 116 pages. Correspondents include Charles Lawrence, the Earl of Halifax, 'Dunk Halifax', Sir Charles Hardy, William Shirley, William Alexander, Robert H. Morris, and the Earl of Loudoun. A descriptive list is included with the documents.

Series also consists of a royal Warrant to Henry Fox authorizing the deduction of twelve pence per pound for the Royal Hospital at Chelsea, with the regulations for subsistence payments to officers and men on the Establishment, 1762, 2 pages.
