Series consists of commissions, deeds, wills and certain newspapers apparently retained for their legislative content, 1817-1883, with a letter of 1907. Also contains a deed of sale for the Seigneurie de Saint-Anne, 1820; the commission appointing John Hale as Receiver General of Lower Canada, 1837; a letter of John Hale, 1826 (photocopy); and two Pay Warrants (one to James Kerr and the second to Synnott and Donavan), 1827.

General note:

The letter of 1907 was received in 1960 from Col. Shuldham H. Hill. The deed of sale of 1820 was received in 1978. The 1837 commission was received in 1980. The letter of 1826 was received in 1981 from Ian Kimmerly of Ottawa (photocopy only). The two 1827 Pay warrants were received in 1998.
