Series consists of correspondence, estate papers and related material, accumulated and preserved by Hannah Peters Jarvis and her daughter Hannah Jarvis Hamilton. Included are miscellaneous papers, 1792-1817, and a diary of William Jarvis en route to Canada, 1792, pp. 1-19; letters to Rev. Samuel Peters from William Jarvis and William Birdseye Peters, 1792-1802, pp. 258-296, and from other members of the Jarvis and Peters families, 1794-1820, pp. 297-347, and from Rev. R. Monkhouse and his wife, 1792-1795, 1801, pp. 348-433, and from friends, 1789-1817, pp. 434-457.

The series also includes letters from Hannah Peters Jarvis to Rev. Samuel Peters, 1791-1824, pp. 20-241, and to her brother William Birdseye Peters, 1789-1793, pp. 242-257; claims of the heirs of Jonathan Carver to lands at the Falls of St. Anthony, 1767-1822, a claim pursued by Samuel Peters after purchasing it from the Carver heirs in1806, pp. 458-594; letter from Samuel Peters to Lt.-Gov. Francis Gore concerning lands, 1810, pp. 595-597; power of attorney from William Birdseye Peters to Robert Eyre, 1802-1803, pp. 598-600.
