Historia Skarbow Wawelskick (The History of the Polish Royal Treasure) by Joseph Polkowski. The Wawel Art Treasures were evacuated from Poland to France in 1939 and to Canada in 1940. They were returned to Poland in 1959. Polkowski was custodian of these treasures during this entire period.
