Series consists of records that document labour relations between the Canadian Air Lines Employees Association (CALEA) and employers Air Canada and Pacific Western Airlines (PWA).

The files document collective agreements, grievances, organizing campaigns, operation of CALEA district offices and correspondence with other unions. Subject files detail pensions, uniforms, health insurance, and other related topics. Within each of these categories, the files are arranged chronologically by bargaining unit.

Records include reports, financial statements, meeting minutes, notes, employee lists and schedules, collective agreements, briefs to arbitration and conciliation boards, hearing proceedings, case references, board rulings, news clippings, correspondence and memoranda. Series also includes bulletins exchanged between the company and the union as well as bulletins produced for union members.
