Sub-series includes outlines and annotated drafts of both produced and unproduced television dramas, including extensive material on: Songs; The Paper People (1967); The White Oaks of Jalna (1971-1972); The National Dream (1975); The Newcomers (1978-1979); as well as an unrealized episode of The National Dream, titled 'Klondike'. The sub-series also contains annotated copies of Pierre Berton's popular histories Klondike, The Last Spike and The National Dream, all of which were used as resource material in the production of the eight-part C.B.C. series The National Dream. The National Dream was co-written by Timothy Findley and William Whitehead.

The photographic material consists of an album with 39 colour Polaroid photographs entitled "The National Dream: The Mountains, Polaroid photos taken between Bow Fort, Alberta and Strathcona Park, Vancouver Island, B.C." This album contains hand-written captions and notes by Timothy Findley (in his own hand-writing), apparently to scout for film locations for CBC's "The National Dream: Building the Impossible Railway" (1974) (mini-series).
