Sub-series consists of notes, manuscripts and drafts for unpublished and uncollected short stories by Timothy Findley including, but not limited to: 'Sirens'; 'Rescue'; 'Hammerfeld'; and other drafts related to television versions of some stories. There is also material grouped together under the heading 'Baldwin Material'. This material originally came from the Janet Baldwin estate and dates from 1953-1955, the time that Findley was working as an actor in England. The Baldwin material includes typescripts of the collected stories 'About Effie', 'War' and 'The Name's The Same' and outlines for another story called 'Night and Day' and for a ballet entitled 'Quiet Zone', illustrated by the author. ('The Name's the Same' appears in the volume of short stories Stones, while 'About Effie' and 'War' appear in Dinner Along the Amazon.) The sub-series also contains an essay on Marian Engel, found with a short story manuscript.

Arrangement is alphabetical by title, with untitled material appearing at the beginning of the series.
