Series consists of an indenture of lease, 7 October 1789, by Henry Caldwell of Belmont, Que. to [Issaac and] Jacob Salls (Sells), of 100 acres in Caldwell Manor, Lot 18, Concession 5, 4 pages; muster roll, 1 January 1838, and pay lists, 6 December 1837-1 April 1838, and 4 and 5 July 1838, of Captain Alexander Macfie's company of the 3rd Battalion of Rouville Militia, 12 pages; service roll, 5 June 1907, of Major G.H. Macfie's B. Squadron, 6th Duke of Connaught Royal Canadian Hussars of the Active Militia, Clarenceville, Que., 4 pages; typed draft with manuscript amendments, 31 July 1925, of Earl Haig's farewell to the City of Montreal and the Ex-service officers and men of Canada, 1 page.
