Series consists of journals, 1775-1782, 1785-1799, 1801, 1804-1805, 1807, 1809-1810, kept by the Rt. Rev. Charles Inglis (1734-1816), usually to provide a record of particularly significant periods in his life, such as the period of the American Revolution, 1775-1782, and various episcopal visitations of Nova Scotia, Cape Breton, New Brunswick, and Quebec, that he conducted as Bishop of Nova Scotia. A few consist of brief notes regarding family events, the weather, etc., jotted in printed almanacs (Microfilmed originals, vols. C 3 to C 23 are on reels A-709 to A-710; transcripts, vols. 1 and 3-6, are also available on reel C-2227). Of particular note is the Public Act Book or Register of the Diocese of Nova Scotia and its Dependencies, 15 October 1787 - 23 October 1812 (Transcripts, vol. 3, pages 206-262, are also available on reel C-2227).
