Series consists of notebooks and miscellaneous papers kept by Stephen Conger and family containing accounts, receipts, memoranda, recipes (chiefly pharmaceuticals), marriage records and genealogical notes which were updated by Roger B. Conger, 1833, files 2-3.

Series also consists of a notebook, n.d., 1809-1879, which includes records and accounts of the construction and operation of Hallowell Meeting House (Methodist), 1800-1814. Stephen Conger was a trustee and builder. The account book, see series 1, has ledger entries for the construction of the Meeting House. Notebook, n.d., 1803-1883 includes records of marriages solemnized by Stephen Conger as a Justice of the Peace, 1803-1823. Miscellaneous documents and papers relating to the Conger family, including deeds, marriage licences and wills, 1762-182, are also included.
