The titles have remained the same as created by the Council; any additional information has been placed in square brackets. The material in this series is comparable to records found in other series from earlier donations., Within the Local Organizations parts of the series, all correspondence and reports with a local orphanage, community chest, United Way, charitable organization, municipal program or juvenile court would be filed under the locality first and then by the agency's name. Therefore each file can contain information on the development of a community chest in a particular area, hiring practices and personnel recommendations, particular problems within agencies or within cities, surveys of social welfare programs in specific geographic areas, and individual reports on the agencies.
