Series consists of correspondence, petitions, memoranda, legal documents and other records of E.J. Jarvis, 1783-1852, 12 cm. Included are letters received, documents relative to his appointment to the Supreme Court of New Brunswick and the quit-rent question in Prince Edward Island, land disputes and the Chief Justiceship of P.E.I., and to the administration of New Brunswick, c. 1823.

The series also includes correspondence, legal, financial and estate papers, newspapers and related records accumulated by E.J. Jarvis and the executor of his estate, 1747-1857, 28 cm. Included are documents relative to his career in New Brunswick, Malta and Prince Edward Island.

The series also contains the passport of Edward James Jarvis in horizontal storage, container 7.

Correspondence, petitions, memoranda, legal documents were received in 1939 from Col. C.P. Meredith of Ottawa, Ont.
Correspondence, legal, financial and estate papers, newspapers and related records accumulated by E.J. Jarvis and the executor of his estate, 1747-1857 were received in 1976 from Michael Jarvis of Ottawa, Ont.
