This material consists of correspondence from the artist Pegi Nicol MacLeod to Charles Comfort. There are five letters and one note dated between December 1932 and October 1935. The second letter is missing its first page. The letters reveal her friendship with Charles Comfort and his family. In them, she discusses her own art, voices opinions on figures in the Canadian art world such as Eric Brown, Ernest Fosbery, and Franklin Brownell, describes a painting trip with Marian Scott, and comments on the latter's husband Frank R. Scott. The letters were not included in the published volume Daffodils in Winter: The Life and Letters of Pegi Nicol MacLeod, edited by Joan Murray.
