Series consists of general administration files (vols. 6-7) containing general Post Office circulars and material on staffing including reports from the Post Office Department Mutual Benefit Association (1950-1960). Papers from the Engineering Divisions (vols. 7-8) include annual and general reports from the Engineering/Building Division (1947-1954) and the Mechanical Engineering Division (1951-1967). The design files (vol. 8) contain material relating to large-scale mail handling equipment. The project files (vols. 8-10) contain papers about new buildings in Calgary, London, Quebec, Saskatoon, Toronto and Winnipeg and extensions in Halifax, Kingston, Montreal and Regina. The Post Office reference series (vols. 11-12) contains reprints and trade literature assembled for use in designing postal machinery. There are also some publications from Canadian and foreign post offices.
