Series consists of correspondence and memoranda discussing northern experiences and history. Some correspondents are P.G. Downes, Lionel Douglas, John Hornby, Richard Finnie, C.D. La Nauze and D'Arcy Arden. The correspondence consists primarily of reminiscenses of their experiences in the north. Topics such as northern expeditions, Eskimos, John Hornby and mineral developments are notable in the papers. A number of files consist of memoranda and correspondence of George Douglas with V. Stefansson on several articles Douglas prepared for the Encyclopedia Arctica as well as discussion of his own experiences.
