Series consists of correspondence, press releases, articles, notes, clippings and other documents of the Public Relations Department of the USWA National Office. Murray Cotterill was Director of the Department from 1939 until 1972 and Frank Drea, a former labour reporter, was his assistant in 1963 and 1964. Of particular note is the documentation on the campaign against Mine-Mill and the correspondence with Charles Millard while he was a member of the Board of Trustees of the Maritime Transportation Unions.
