Federation of Junior Leagues of Canada : The Federation of Junior Leagues of Canada, is the Canadian public affairs component of the Association of Junior Leagues International, Inc. (AJLI), an international women's volunteer organization with 277 Junior Leagues in the United States, Canada, Mexico, and Great Britain. The first Canadian Junior League was established in Montreal in 1912. It was followed by others in Calgary, Edmonton, Halifax, Hamilton-Burlington, Toronto, Vancouver, and Winnipeg. The Federation, formed in 1972, serves as the link among Canadian Leagues for responding to pertinent issues in government and participating closely with other Canadian organizations on subjects of common interest.

The Junior Leagues are nonprofit organizations of women committed to promoting voluntarism and to improving the community through the effective action and leadership of trained volunteers. Their purpose is exclusively educational and charitable. The Junior Leagues reach out to women of all races, religions, and national origins who demonstrate an interest in and commitment to voluntarism.

Junior Leagues are composed of a diverse membership trained for effective volunteer participation in community activities. Leagues serve as advocates on issues of local and national concern and have developed and sponsored numerous projects addressing these concerns.
