Muzeen, Bernard, b. 1937 : Bernard Muzeen, born in England in 1937, came to Canada in 1958. From 1958 to 1964, he worked as a design engineer in Oshawa, Ontario. From 1964 to 1966, he was employed with the Women's Welfare League of Oshawa as a Boy's Work Supervisor at the Simcoe Hall Boys Club, assisting youths on probation and before the juvenile courts. He also started a cub pack for handicapped boys, worked with a perceptually handicapped children's class, and assisted a variety of community youth associations.

In 1966, Bernard Muzeen joined the Company of Young Canadians as a volunteer. This was the Company's first year of operation. For two years he was the CYC's liaison and project co-ordinator in the Victoria Park area of Calgary, Alberta. In this inner-city neighbourhood, he helped residents and community groups organize against the expansion and expropriation plans of the Calgary Stampede Board and assisted with urban renewal projects. In 1968, he was appointed Operations Officer for the Company of Young Canadians and worked out of its headquarters in Ottawa. He has also served a term as the chairman of the International Programmes Committee of the Company of Young Canadians.

In 1970, Muzeen began a five year committment with the Ottawa Boy's Club, to work with city children from low-income families. Twenty years later, he retired as the executive director and general manager of the Boy's and Girl's Club of Ottawa-Carleton. In 1995, he began serving as the development officer of the Canadian Mothercraft Society.
