Admiralty 113 consists of 279 volumes of pay lists, musters and pension lists of various ports, yards, etc. Victualling, initially by contract, became the responsibility of the surveyor of victuals, a principal officer of the Navy Board, in 1679. In 1683, he was replaced by a Board of Victualling Commissioners subordinate to the Navy Board. When the Victualling Board was abolished in the reforms of 1832, victualling became the responsibility of the comptroller of victualling and transports.

From ADM 113, the National Archives of Canada has copied Bundle One, which consists of pay lists for coopers employed in making, repairing and trimming of water casks, attending surveys on board victuallers and repairing provision casks on board sundry victuallers for the service of His Majesty's fleet in North America under the command of Vice Admiral Arbuthnote, 1 October to 31 December 1779. This material is located on microfilm reel B-6024.
