Fonds consists of textual records, 1992-1993: correspondence, memoranda, briefing books, advertising material, speeches, publications, organizational and financial material relating to the National Canada Committee and the Newfoundland and Labrador Canada Committee. There are also three documents in horizontal storage, container 5: 'October 26th will be here before you know it'; 'Before you decide you have a right to know'; and 'The Referendum date will be here before you know it'.

Fonds consists of photographs, 1992, depicting activities of the Canada Committee in Newfoundland.

Fonds also contains videocassettes, 1992, that are compilations of commercials used to promote the Charlottetown Agreement, as well as unedited recordings of presentations, interviews, and a roundtable discussion, some of which appear, in part, in the commercials.

Fonds also contains lapel pins or buttons, 1992, created by the National and Newfoundland offices of the Canada Committee in support of the "Yes" side in the 1992 constitutional referendum on the Charlottetown Accord.

Canada Committee : The Canada Committee was established to support the "yes" side in the constitutional referendum that followed on the signature of the Charlottetown Accord on 28 August 1992. The National Canada Committee, with offices in Ottawa, was formally launched on 22 September 1992, and provincial committees were shortly established in every province except Quebec. The National Committee provided the provincial organizations with advertising material for the various media, core speeches, administrative assistance and funding. Financed by private donations, the Committee was largely staffed by party professionals from the three major political parties, with a joint secretariat consisting of Harry Near of the PCs, Les Campbell of the NDP and Gordon Ashworth of the Liberals. The Canada Committee was disbanded immediately after the referendum of 26 October 1992.

The Newfoundland and Labrador Canada Committee was established on 1 October, 1992, with William Goulding as Chief Agent and Director of Operations.
