Association of Canadian College and University Teachers of French : The Association of Canadian University Teachers of French was founded in June 1958 at Alberta University. The objects of the Association are the following: to provide a national forum for the presentation and discussion of papers on the French language, French literature, and related languages and literatures; to provide opportunities for the discussion of professional and administrative matters of interest to members of the Association; to encourage research and joint-research projects in French and related fields; to collaborate with other bodies whose interests may be similar. In 1979, the college teachers of French joined the Association whose name is now the Association of Canadian College and University Teachers of French (ACCUTF).
