The E.A. Alm Family papers consist of the following files: Scrapbook: concerning E.A. Alm, 1935-1972 Scrapbook: concerning E.A. Alm's autobiography, I Never Wondered (Vancouver, 1971), and his obituaries, 1971-1972. Correspondence: Miscellaneous received, 1972-1973, n.d. Biography/Administrative history:

E.A. Alm (family) : Edwin Albert Alm, born in Ostersund, Sweden in 1888, immigrated to the United States in 1907. There he worked on railroad construction gangs. In 1912, he moved to Saskatoon as a contractor for the CPR. In 1921, he founded the E.A. Alm real estate firm in Vancouver which he operated until 1971. Throughout his life, he took great pride in his Swedish origins and sought to promote Swedish-Canadian friendship. After his death in 1973 his widow, Mrs. Ann Alm, has continued this work in such projects as the Swedish Memorial Fountain.
