Manuscript cook book entitled "Mother's Book - a guide to household matters Oct. 1897", [began by Kate Burn], containing recipes 1886-1907; miscellaneous clippigs 1936-1947; 2 programmes of entertainment in aid of the Liverpool Seamen's Orphanage held on board the S.S. "Commonwealth" 1902; diary regarding a summer holiday 1900; a menu for the Raquet Court 1901; household accounts n.d.; and a programme for the National Remembrance Day Ceremony at Parliament Hill 1939. Manuscript cook book 1916-1959, [kept by Gwendolyn Burn], including notes for a dance programme 1912; knitting patterns 1940, n.d.; a memorandum from the Ottawa Council of Social Agencies and Community Chest [W.W. 2]; and a K-H Newsletter 1939 by Stephen King-Hall. Fragments of 2 printed cook books [ca. 1892] containing publicity material for "Gem", "Crown", "Keystone" and White Mountain", and other, kitchen appliances.

Burn (Family) : Sir George Burn, who was born in 1847 and died in 1932, was general manager of the Bank of Ottawa from 1880 to 1917. He married Kate Fraser Drummond of Toronto in 1872 and together they had four daughters.
