Fonds consists of correspondence, clippings, programmes and other documents relating to Brzezinski's consulship (1939-1941), his position at Guardian Trust Company (1948, 1950) and his activities in the Progressive Conservative party (1948-1962). There is correspondence, lists, circular letters, programmes and other material concerning his activities at the Bibliothèque Saint-Sulpice (1954-1956, 1965-1967), the Bibliothèque nationale du Québec (1967-1970), and the Fédération des Centres culturels de la Province de Québec (1967-1970). Microfilm of three scrapbooks, chiefly clippings but including some letters, photographs and other documents, arranged in chronological order and providing a good review of Brzezinski's career and activities of the Polish community in Quebec (1931-1970). Microfilmed material is located on microfilm reel M-4611.

Brzezinski, Tadeusz, 1896-1990 : Tadeusz Brzezinski was born in Poland. He entered the Polish diplomatic service and was Consul-General in Montreal during World War II. After the war, he decided to remain in Canada and for a short time was director of immigrant aid services for Guardian Trust Company (Montreal). In the 1953, General Election he was an unsuccessful candidate for the Progressive Conservative party in Montreal-Cartier riding. In 1954, he took a position as director of research in the Bibliothèque Saint-Sulpice and when this library was transformed into the Bibliothèque Nationale in 1967, Brzezinski was appointed cultural officer. In this capacity, he coordinated various projects to expand services to the public, among them the Fédération des Centres culturels de la Province de Québec. Since coming to Canada, Brzezinski has been an active member of the Polish community.
