Fonds consists of chronological files (1968-1991) documenting George Price's activities as the Liaison Officer for Agriculture and Resources in Ottawa for the CBC radio network. Includes broadcast scripts with corrections and annotations, weekly reports on his activities and copies of telex and correspondence with colleagues from the CBC. These files provide a comprehensive picture of the Canadian agricultural scene from 1968 to 1988. Arranged in reverse chronological order. (Vols. 1-8).

Fonds also includes a photograph depicting Price sitting before a microphone in an unidentified radio studio.

Price, George, 1925- : Born on 4 April 1925 in Winnipeg, George Price, broadcaster, studied at the School of Agriculture of the University of Saskatchewan. He worked at the radio station CHAB in Moose Jaw for 12 years (1946-1958). In 1959, he joined the Farm and Fish Department of CBC in Winnipeg. In 1968, Price transferred to Ottawa to become the Liaison Officer for Agriculture and Resources for the CBC radio network. In this capacity, he was responsible for giving national coverage to the policies and priorities of the federal government and other agencies regarding agriculture and resources development. He also reported on Canadian and international agricultural associations and on international trade negotiations which involved Canada's agriculture and natural resources. He retired from the CBC in 1990.
