"Vancouver Island Pilot, Supplement. 1883. Queen Charlotte Sound to Portland Canal. The original MS. by Staff Commrs. Pender and Coghlan". Navigational information on the coastline and inner channels of the British Columbia mainland opposite the Queen Charlotte Islands; compiled by Staff Commander J.E. Coghlan from an Admiralty Hydrographic survey done by Staff Commander Daniel Pender in 1864-1870, with some readings revised to 1882. Includes observations on the Indian populations, climate, wildlife and timber of the region. This material is located on microfilm reel A-425.
