Ukrainian Fraternal Society. Windsor Branch : The Ukrainian Fraternal Society of Canada was organized in 1921 by Ukrainian immigrants to serve the insurance needs of fellow Ukrainians and to assist in the work of Ukrainian organizations in particular those affiliated with the Ukrainian Orthodox Church in Canada.

The society has more than 40 active branches in British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Ontario and Quebec. The society's assets are approximately five million dollars and it has over five thousand members. As a fraternal society, the policy holders who are members elect fellow members to the Board of Directors and executives of the branches which administer the operations of the Ukrainian Fraternal Society. The national headquarters is in Winnipeg, Man.

This collection might be of interest to researchers of Ukrainian organizational life of Canada and also of Ukrainian family history. Applications for membership provide biographical information of interest to genealogists.
