Canadian Railway Labour Association : The Canadian Railway Labour Association evolved from a committee formed in the late 1930's, by four international railway brotherhoods and two other unions to further the legislative interests of railway workers. By 1944, the organization had the title Dominion Joint Legislative Committee of the Transportation Brotherhoods. Several name changes followed: 1954 - National Legislative Committee of the International Railway Brotherhoods, 1965 - Canadian Railroad Labour Executives Association, 1970 - Canadian Railroad Labour Association. The membership of the association is composed of one executive member of each of the affiliated unions.
