The Dominions Office 131 class of records consists of microfilmed records of the Children's Overseas Reception Board relating to the evacuation of British children to Canada during World War II. The files include a large amount of correspondence of Miss Marjorie Maxse, its Director. Subjects include, for example, legal guardianship of children, higher education and training, procedures established by Canadian immigration authorities in dealing with children at ports of embarkation, and Fairbridge Farm Schools. Microfilm reel numbers are as follows: B-5387 to B-5396.

Great Britain. Dominions Office. Children's Overseas Reception Board : The Children's Overseas Reception Board was established in 1940 in Great Britain to arrange for the evacuation of British children, endangered by enemy action, to overseas countries for the duration of the war. It was maintained until 1946.
