Parker, William, 1743-1802 : Naval officer

Sir William Parker (1743-1802) entered the Royal Navy about 1756 and spent much of his career on the Newfoundland Station. He was promoted rear-admiral in 1794, made a baronet in 1797, and was Commander-in-Chief of the Halifax Station, 1800-1801.
