The item consists of a facsimile of the warrant for the execution of Charles I, bearing 59 signatures and seals, dated 29 January 1649 [1648 Old Style]. The warrant was addressed to Colonel Francis Hacker, Colonel Huncks and Lieutenant Colonel Phayre. General note:

Negative and positive photostats of the warrant are available for consultation in 1. Two copies of the facsimile are stored in the horizontal cabinets as volumes 2 and 3.
Facsimile copies received in 1980 from Mr. T.H. Champagne of Ottawa, Ontario. The photostat copies of the facsimile, made in 1965, was transferred in 1978 from MG 55/18 no.118.
