Dresser, Arthur K : Surveyor, traveller.

Arthur K. Dresser left England for Canada in 1868. He managed the Lancaster Mills (a sawmill) in Musquash, New Brunswick, from 1868 to 1872, when he accepted a position as a surveyor with the Canadian Pacific Railway in the area north of the Great Lakes. Ending his employment the following year, he travelled until 1874 when he accepted a second position with the CPR in Manitoba. Leaving the CPR in 1875, he travelled until late 1876, when he returned to his home in London, England. Dresser was an avid angler, hunter and ornithologist, and pursued these interests while in Canada.
