Additional Manuscript 24323 consists of original letters, 1770-1780, to John Blackburn, written by Sir William Johnson, Bart.; his son, Sir John Johnson, Bart.; and his nephew, Colonel Guy Johnson. It was added to the holdings of the British Library in 1861. At some time between 1881 and 1948, probably ca. 1914, the National Archives of Canada transcribed a small excerpt (ff. 36-36v) from one of Sir John Johnson's letters.
