The baptismal certificates, official copies, 1895-1945, photocopied, are available on microfilm rel H-1812.Biography/Administrative history:Holy Ghost Parish (Winnipeg, Man. : Roman Catholic) Church : Holy Ghost Parish, founded in 1899, is the oldest Polish Roman Catholic parish in Western Canada. In the early twentieth century it served as a base of operations for Oblate missionaries working in Saskatchewan, Alberta, British Columbia and the north-western United States. In its early years the parish also served other Roman Catholics of East European origin.Additional information:Custodial history:The original material was received in 1975 by Rev. Zygmunt Musielski (OMI). The material on microfilm reel M-4409 was copied from originals held by the Archives of the Oblates of Mary Immaculate, Toronto.
