McKinstrey, Walter Thompson, fl. 1848-1882 : W.T. McKinstrey was appointed a clerk in the commissariat in 1848 and he came to British North America in that year remaining until 1868 when he returned to England. In 1872, he was appointed chief clerk in the colonial secretary's office and in 1882, actuary to the Government Savings Bank in Barbados.
