Collection consists of copies of the enclosures relating to Sable Island in Sir John Wentworth's despatches to the Colonial Office of 21 June 1800 and 3 July 1801, including Seth Coleman's report of 4 June 1801 and a map of the island. They include: letter of Lieut. Scambour, 17 May 1800, order to Seth Coleman, Coleman's response, and House of Assembly's address regarding Sable Island, 25 June 1801.

There is also a map entitled "Isle of Sable" which indicates the possible location of the lighthouse.
