Fonds consists the papers of Paul Philip Rux largely concern that period in which Mr. Rux lived in Canada, 1968-1975 and his situation in relation to draft evasion from U.S. military service. Includes biographical information, correspondence, publications articles, a portion of the dossier maintained by the F.B.I. on Mr. Rux, newspaper clippings, reports and other material.

Rux, Paul Philip, 1944- : Paul Philip Rux, high school teacher, of Portage, Wisconsin entered Canada in 1968 to avoid induction into the American armed forces under Selective Service law. The United States Department of Justice's dismissal of draft evasion charges against him in 1975 made it possible for him to take up residence again in the U.S. While in Canada Mr. Rux taught at the high school level in Aurora, Wiarton and Kingston, Ont.
