Collection consists of microfilmed documents relating to the activities of Canadian immigration agents in Germany, 1854-1898, 1903-1913, of reports on problems faced by German immigrants in Canada, 1910, of reports on Canadian immigration policy, 1900, 1906-1914, as well as copies of documents on German immigration to Canada in general, 1831-1927. This material is located on microfilm reels K-142 to K-144.

Germany. Hamburg Staatsarchiv : The Staatsarchiv Hamburg dates back to the 13th century, when the city first began safekeeping the charters guaranteeing its privileges within the Holy Roman Empire. Holdings of the Staatsarchiv include shipping records, statistics on emigrants leaving Europe via Hamburg, documents relating to German policies on the recruitment of German nationals by agents of foreign governments, as well as other material documenting Hamburg's position as a German and European trade and shipping centre.
